The year of the Dragon. It was one of the most participatory projects we ever came up with – where we invited burners to follow a set of loose guidelines to build a segment of a Chinese fdragon. We all brought our segments to the playa and joined them togethre to form the longest art project on the playa. The dragon was over a mile long. We were again located in Center Camp, immediately next to ice. The obvious benefit was incredible, but the only problem was that Bare was the Queen of Ice, and whenever her slacker morning shift flaked on her, she would come and get us outt bed at the ungawdly hour of 9am to work the ice trucks
