Jim called Randy on Saturday afternoon and said "Hey lets go to Burningman!" We got there at 10:30PM AFTER the man had fallen. We stayed all night while Jim ran around in the dark and took pictures (Randy could tell you about monkey boy). We drove back home before dawn the next morning. Jim vowed to never miss it again. Randy, Jim and Shannon (Moonsinger) went to burning man with a McDonalds Drive Thru "M". We set up our lighted drive-thru sign on the street and "mother fucked" every person who tried to order anything.. Randy and Jim also took Jim's dearly departed dads Lark electric Scooter and turned it into a mobile drum set. We "squatted" in the Gigsville Village and ended up staying there for 5 years. Promcamp - we had a full prom on Friday night. We also ran the Bijou Theater - BM's first movie theater. You had to be nekkid to get in so we could "stamp yer ass" we had a full snack bar (with fresh popcorn) and could seat about 100-150 on carpet and pillows. The most popular night was "porn night" at the black rock city bijou (which ended with an impromptu live performance by Dale and a friend of his!) . Brad introduced us to the art of genital casting. George started the Burningman Yearbook project. The tribe grew by about ten or 12 members. Mostly thru Internet connections and playa friends. Personal stories...

Our first year in Center Camp - in the 3 o'clock region. We had a interactive painting that required you to take a few spins on the Psychedelic Infusion Generator before you attempt to paint. We also had the Mind#$%@ chair that brainwashed you, and an interactive audio book which was going really well until the Minidisc player crapped out and all the recordings were destroyed. The playa giveth, and the playa taketh away :(

The year of the Dragon. It was one of the most participatory projects we ever came up with - where we invited burners to follow a set of loose guidelines to build a segment of a Chinese fdragon. We all brought our segments to the playa and joined them togethre to form the longest art project on the playa. The dragon was over a mile long. We were again located in Center Camp, immediately next to ice. The obvious benefit was incredible, but the only problem was that Bare was the Queen of Ice, and whenever her slacker morning shift flaked on her, she would come and get us outt bed at the ungawdly hour of 9am to work the ice trucks :-)

We have a tree made up of recycled wood, and old cloth, and a Solar oven capable of roasting a chicken in under 2 hours, boiling away grey water, and shrinking plastic bottles for easy transport home. The camp will be located at 7:30 and Boreal

LisaE's Bordello of Dust was brought to life and parts were build in multiple locations and assembled on site. The Bordello consisted of a boudoir, a poker room, a photo booth, a BDSM room and a stage. Each night Tribe members and guest put on cabaret and burlesque performances that played to packed houses.. We were also a stop on the World Naked Bike ride.
