Note that the roads follow a naming convention that basically remains the same every year:
- The roads leading into the city start at 2 o'clock in the upper right, and end at 10 o'clock on the upper left. The middle road that leads to "Center Camp" is the 6 o'clock road.
- The circular roads are named alphabetically except for the innermost loop which is the "Esplanade" - so the second road will be an "A" road (this year they are named after cities - so it is Athens) the next will be "B' (Baghdad) then "C" (Cairo), etc...
Once you pass the Greeter's Station (remember to let them know you are a first time visitor), drive very slowly to keep the dust down. You enter on the "6:00" road so when you reach the split, keep LEFT. Watch for 6:30 and turn RIGHT. Follow 6:30 down and you'll notice the cross street names are descending alphabetically. We will be between the intersection of the "C" road and "B" circular roads, most likely to the left of the 6:30 road. We may not border the 6:30 road, but we will most likely border B or C - so park safely, then walk around and look for us. If you hit any roadblocks/rangers on the way in, let them know you are in the Tribe and we are a "THEME CAMP" and we are PLACED near 6:30 and B
As you can see, we care pretty close to Center Camp - the hub that the whole city is built around. This is considered prime land :) and we have been around this area since 2004. We never really know exactly where we will be but they give us a rough idea when they say near 6:30 between the B road (Baghdad) and the C road (Cairo). If it is your first time, check out our member page, and kinda get a feel for faces. We mostly look like our photos ;)
